Restoring Current or Historic System State/Registry Versions

Specify whether you want to restore the most current System State/registry version or to restore a historic version.

To restore the current version

In the Restore tab on the Computer Restore form, select the Restore current backed up Registry/System State option to restore the current version.

You will restore the latest version of the System State/registry that is stored in the backup server.

To restore a historic version

  1. In the Restore tab on the Computer Restore form, select the Restore Registry/System State backed up as of option to restore a historic version.

  2. Set the time from which you want to restore the System State/registry:

    1. In the time box, click a time element (for example, the hours).

    2. Type a number for the time or select the time.

  3. Set the date from which you want to restore the System State/registry:

    1. In the date box, click the arrow to open the calendar.

    2. Use the arrows to scroll to the appropriate month.

    3. Click a date to select it.

You will restore the latest version of the System State/registry that was stored in the backup server as of the specified time and date.

Note: LiveVault Online Backup Service guarantees one historic version per day.
