Temporary Internet Files
To avoid unnecessarily high data change rates and excessive use of network
bandwidth, the temporary Internet files need to be excluded from the
LiveVault Online Backup Service backup.
LiveVault Online Backup Service Agent version 3.1.2 and later automatically excludes the temporary
Internet files.
If you are running an earlier Agent version, you must manually create the exclusion.
Also, if your computer is configured to use directories other than the defaults
(as specified below), you must manually create the exclusion.
In the tree view on the Files to Backup tab, you
will see the icon for the
automatically excluded files. Parent
directories of the automatically excluded files are marked in
MyLiveVault with one of the "partially excluded" icons, either
(if a parent directory is selected), or
(if a parent directory is not selected).
NT 4
The default temporary Internet files directory is %SystemRoot%\Profiles\*\Temporary
Internet Files\
For example, if the %SystemRoot% value is C:, create the
exclusion:
Exclude C:\Profiles\*\Temporary Internet Files\*
Windows 2000/2003
The default per-user temporary Internet file directories are based on the registry value of
ProfilesDirectory. For example, for the default value %SystemDrive%\Documents
and Settings where %SystemDrive% value is C:, create the exclusion:
Exclude C:\Documents and Settings\*\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*
