Requesting a New Password

If you have forgotten your MyLiveVault password, you need to request a new password. There are two ways to do this:

  • You can have another user of your company account reset your password from within MyLiveVault. However, that user must be assigned the capability to manage users in order to perform this operation.

  • You can contact Customer Service to reset your password. You must have Customer Service do this if you are the sole user for your company account, or if there is not authorized user available.

Important: For security purposes, we will always issue a new password to replace a forgotten password. Also, we will send the new password by e-mail to your known e-mail address. We will not provide a password over the phone, nor will we send a new password without validating your identity.

To have another user reset your password

  1. Contact a user of your company account who is assigned the capability to manage users.

  2. That user resets your password.

  3. Your new MyLiveVault password is immediately e-mailed to you.

To have Customer Service reset your password

  1. On the Login to LiveVault Online Backup Service form, click the Forgot your username/password? link. Additional details and Customer Service contact information is displayed.

  2. Call Customer Service.

  3. Over the phone, Customer Service validates your identity using your secret question and answer pair.

  4. Customer Service requests a new password for you.

  5. Your new MyLiveVault password is immediately e-mailed to you.
