Canceling a System State/Registry Restore Job
Important: It is highly recommended that you do not cancel
any
Windows System State restore job. It is also recommended that you do not
cancel an NT 4.0 registry Network restore job.
LiveVault Online Backup Service always restores the Windows 2000/2003 System State to the original
Agent computer, overwriting the existing System State/registry data. This is
true for Network restores and Media restores. Canceling a System State restore job to a Windows
2000/2003 computer leaves the System
State data and the computer in an unstable state. The computer may not be
usable or may not start.
For a Network restore, LiveVault Online Backup Service always restores the NT 4.0 registry
to the original Agent computer, overwriting the existing registry files. If you cancel a
registry Network restore job to a Windows NT 4.0 computer and the
registry is unstable (for example, the user profiles are gone), request another
restore job to rebuild the registry. However, depending on the state of the
registry, you may need to use your Windows NT emergency repair disk first.

the following:
If you want to cancel the restore job when you are restoring from the media
