Installing Agent Certificates

If the LiveVault Online Backup Service Agent certificates become corrupted or otherwise need replacing, Customer Service will generate a certificates-only kit for that Agent. To install the certificates on the Agent, do the following:

  1. Download the kit containing the certificates only. Customer Service will explain to you how the kit will be delivered.

  2. Put the kit (which is a self-extracting executable) in the LiveVault Online Backup Service installation directory (for example
    C:\Program Files\LiveVault Corporation\LiveVault).

  3. Double-click the executable. The Setup program runs.

  4. In the Install LiveVault Certificates dialog box, select the check box Check this box if installing an Agent certificate.

  5. Click Next.

  6. The certificates are installed and a message opens stating Certificates successfully installed. Click OK.

  7. You may be able to restart just the LiveVault services, or you may have to restart the computer.

    First follow the steps to restart the LiveVault services in the article Stopping and Starting the Agent Services (A036). If the services will not start, then restart the computer.
