After you upgrade the operating system on your LiveVault Online Backup Service Agent
computer, you must reinstall the LiveVault Online Backup Service Agent
software on that computer. This is required because the different operating
systems require different LiveVault Online Backup Service file system filter
drivers.

After upgrading the operating system on the computer,
contact Customer Service for a new Agent
software kit to download and install. If you still have the Agent kit available
locally, you can reinstall that kit (go to step 5 to continue the process).
On the MyLiveVault Home page, the All Computers
form lists the name of the computer for which you have requested an
Agent kit. Click Install Software in
the Action column for the computer.
Read the information on the Download and Install the
Service Software page, then click Download Service Software
to start the download process over the Internet.
On the File Download dialog box, select a download
option:
If you are downloading the software directly to the computer
you are upgrading, and you are logged on to the computer using a
Windows account with Administrator rights, you can select the option Run this program from its current location.
The self-extracting service software executable runs on your local system.
Go to step 8 to continue the process.
Otherwise, select the option Save this program to disk.
The self-extracting service software executable is downloaded to your local system.
Copy the self-extracting service software executable to the computer that will be
upgraded.
Log on to the computer using a Windows account with Administrator rights on the computer.
Double-click the self-extracting service software executable that you downloaded.
The software files will be unpacked in an installation folder.
You may be prompted for a path for the installation folder.
If you are prompted for a path, use the existing installation folder and then
click Continue.
The LiveVault Setup program starts running.
Follow the instructions in the Setup program dialog boxes to upgrade the software.
If you require help during the upgrade process, you can press the F1 key to view help for the displayed dialog box.
If you require additional assistance, contact Customer Service.
Restart the computer when prompted.
After the computer restarts, the software running on your computer automatically connects to the LiveVault backup server.
The upgrade of the service software is complete.
