Remove Computer

Purpose

Use this Remove Computer form to remove the computer from LiveVault Online Backup Service.

When you remove the computer from LiveVault Online Backup Service:

  • The computer no longer appears in MyLiveVault.

  • Its backup configuration is deleted. This means no new data is backed up.

  • Its backed up data and history is no longer available. This means you cannot restore data that was previously backed up.

If you only want to temporarily remove the computer from LiveVault Online Backup Service, for example, because you need to perform maintenance on it, we recommend that you instead temporarily suspend backup. Click the link for the Backup tab on the Computer Information page so you can suspend backup.

Fields and Buttons Descriptions

Field/Button Description
Remove button Click to remove the computer from LiveVault Online Backup Service. You will be prompted to confirm the removal.

Note: If you remove a computer in error, you must contact Customer Service to re-add the computer to LiveVault Online Backup Service.
Cancel button Click to cancel the request to remove the computer.
