Change Password

Purpose

Use this Change Password form to change the password that you use to log on to MyLiveVault.

To protect your password:

  • Only asterisks (*) are displayed as you type your password.

  • Your password is encrypted before it is transmitted and it is stored encrypted.

Fields and Buttons Descriptions

Field/Button Description
Current password Type your current password. The password is case-sensitive. To protect your password, asterisks are displayed as you type.
New password Type a new password. The password is case-sensitive. To protect your password, asterisks are displayed as you type.

If your company is using the default MyLiveVault password policy, your password can include:

  • Any characters (letters, numbers, symbols, etc.)

  • A minimum of four characters, and a maximum of eight characters

Note: For additional security we recommend that your password be at least six characters, and include at least one letter and number.

If your company has selected to enforce a more stringent password policy, your password will have to meet all or a subset of the following rules:

  • Password must be eight characters, and must include at least one letter and at least one non-alphabetic character (such as a number).

  • Cannot reuse passwords within twelve changes.

  • Must change passwords according to a specified schedule.
Re-enter new password Type your new password again. Asterisks are displayed as you type.

If this does not match what you typed in the New password box, an error message is displayed and you can type in the password again.
Submit button Click to submit your changed logon password.
Cancel button Click to cancel the password change and return to the User Information form. Your current password is still valid.
